Had a mess hapyp hour ytd.. Had pizza, kfc etc. Also watched a movie during the movie mania called "Tears of the sun". Many of you would haf already watched it cos i think its quite an old movie.. Well, for me, it was the first time i watched it..

The main actor was Bruce Willis. The geist of the movie is abt the group of 7 man trying to accomplish a mission of evacuating an american lady doctor from an ulu tribe in the jungle due to rebel tensions rising.. The doctor refused to leave the tribe as she noes if the rebels find her village, they will kill everybody.. she would only leave if her people comes along.. Well, having no choice. L.T (who is bruce willis) had to evacuate the doc.. along wif 70 other tribal pple. Having reached the LZ, L.T pushed the doc into the helicopter leaving the pple stranded.. Well, higher HQ forbid L.T to bring along the people cos their primary objective was juz the doc.. So no choice L.T betrayed her trust to lure her into the heli before flying off.. Wad a bastard haha.

While flying to a safe place, they flew past the village where the doc came from. As some pple stayed behind, the rebels killed them all.. and set the houses ablaze.. brought tears to the doc and somehow touched L.T stone heart. In the end, he decided to turn back and save the people. As the helicoptor could only accomodate 12 pax. he picked the slowest and weakest to be evacuated. the rest had to make their way to the Cameroon gates which was a 30 km walk away frmo their location. The movie den proceeds wif how they managed to escape the rebels.

After watching the movie, i asked myself this. Why are there still civil unrest in many parts of Africa? Why are people killing other people for no reason at all?.. i got totally grossed out when i saw one scene in which the rebels cut off the breasts of nursing mothers and kill off their babies.. i almost puked out my pizza. Although its juz a movie, im very sure all these things are actually happening in some parts of Africa where tensions are high and rebel killings are common.. What made matters worse is they showed children and women getting killed.. these rebels were ruthless..

As christians.. i ask myself, why did God allow these things to happen. Many questions are still left unanswered as i proceed on my christian life. I rem one scene where the priest of the village gave his blessings to L.T (the priest decided to stay back) and L.T's response was "God has already left Africa". was quite shocked when i saw that.. i guess God has plans and he must haf a reason why all these things are happening.. i shall go ask my pastor this sun abt this.. too many qn left unanswered..

This is how i would respond to telemarketeers who calls mi non stop in the beginning. I juz find them so irritating. Why cant they juz gif us some peace? Haha. This is what i felt abt these people who sells televisions in the market - the telemarketeers (lol? -_-")

Anyone ever experience how it feels like to haf telemarketeers calling you all the time?

Well, i like to share something wif u guys dat mayub might change ur attitude towards these pple.. well, it certainly changed mine.

My gf found a part time job as a ........................... telemarketeer. Yes, not the job i intended her to get but.. its only on a temp basis.. 3weeks. so i encouraged her to go ahead since she was having her hols. Well, telemarketeers do juz call u up for the sake of calling and waiting for time to pass. A telemarketeer can actualli be quite a tough job.

Well, my gf is being paid not by the hour, but by the no. of surveys completed. Each survey usually takes up to 10mins.. 15mins if the caller is a hard one to tackle and if he/she asks alot of qn regarding the survey. Now dats the hard part. On many occasions, she had been on the "receving" end of the caller, having the caller to slam down the phone on her (which i truely regret wad i did last tiem) and also scolding her for wasting their time (thankfully i didnt scold the telemarketeer so im not guilty of that). She feels hurt most of the time when someone does that to her.. As she works only 4 hours a day (which is quite little) she as to complete as much survey as possible in such a short time frame.

Having seeing my gf going through all these, i hope this post can reach out to you guys out there. Next time, u receive a call from a telemarketeer, this is wad u shld do..

Back to a serious note, juz be nice to the person cos you never noe if u r going to make his/her day, or ... break it. Spare juz 10mins of ur time.. im quite sure 10mins its ok right?

At the end of the day. Dun treat telemarketeers like animals.... they are humans too, they haf emotions, dun hurt them.

Crap, how time flies when u r having fun huh. Juz let that.. the long weekend flashes past mi. how unfair. haha. back at office.. stoning... my dy is on leave and my s4 having meeting the whole day. So i guess i will look back at my weekend and reflect on them.

Went to Marina Bay to haf steamboat dinner for the 2nd consecutive weekend! haha of cos at different steamboat stall. Went there on Labour Day wif my Y.E.S cell group members. Was shocked to see it SOOOOO crowded. Competition is really fierce among the steamboat stalls.. if i rem correct the pin xian stall offers free shuttle service to their stall from the marina bay mrt. We ended up eating at this chom pang seafood steamboat buffet. Price is abt $12. i paid $10 for the pin xian stall i ate last week.

It was realli disappointing that the food wasnt as great as the one i tried the previous week.. in terms of variety, not much. No satay, no otah, no hot dogs.. my gf keep complaining there are no hot dogs which were her fav lol.. sianz.. somemore it rained halfway. thank god we were sheltered, but there was a little rain splashing in on me.. cos i sat under the gap between the awning and the covered shelter.

played at the arcade.. wanted to play para para.. cos last week i went there to try dat game.. cos nobody.. haha den i go malu myself in front of my gf.. this time. it was a no go for mi.. too many pple looking. haha. certainly not the brightest thing to do if i were to play para para.. ended up playing my fav game.. Guitar Freaks.. anyone wanna challenge mi. haha.

Had fun in the end.. while we were making our way back, we saw fire works. It was realli beautiful. My gf enjoyed it and wanted to take a pic wif her hp but.. her hp cam CMI haha.. dun wanna let her noe wads CMI.. those who dunno too bad.

Went to the esplanade after that and found out that the fireworks was from the Labour Day Event organised by NTUC income. Enjoyed the scenry of singapore waterfront at the breakwater wif my gf before going back.....

Wad a day!
